How to fit a couch cover on your sofa

In this article we'll show you how to fit your couch cover onto your couch!

Step #1: Make sure you've measured your couch correctly and ordered the correct cover size

Step #2: If satisfied with step #1, fit the cover over your couch.

Let's go into detail on each step.

#1: Making sure you've ordered the correct cover size

This might seem counterintuitive, but you won't believe how many customers order covers without checking our size guides first. It is critical that you measure your couch according to the size guide shown on the product page of the product you've ordered or want to order.

Our covers are pre-made into specific size ranges. Also, couches aren't all the same. Some are oversized, some small and others general in size. Sometimes a 2-seater couch end up needing a 3-seater cover. Or a 1-seater couch needing a 2-seater cover.

Here is an example size guide. Remember to check the specific guide on the product page of the product you've ordered or want to order.

 

What if you haven't used the size guide before ordering and realized you've made a mistake by ordering the wrong size?

No problem, we do accept returns and exchanges. You'll need to contact us at info@crelocouchcovers.co.za to start the return or exchange process. Also, be sure to read our returns policy here for the finer details before doing so.

If you've ordered the correct size, you are ready to move to step #2.

Step #2: Fitting the cover over your couch

While fitting your sofa cover it's best to keep in mind that our covers are pre-made. Also, as previously mentioned, not all couches are exactly the same. You'll need to adjust that cover accordingly to get the look and feel you want.

Here is an image that demonstrates the fitment process:

#1 - Open the cover up, find the two sides of the cover and line it up with both ends of your couch. This can be done as one person, but having someone to help you will make it a lot easier.

#2 - Fit the cover over your couch and adjust it to line up accordingly.

#3 - Use the foam sticks provided with your order to tuck the cover into the creases of the couch to tighten the fit as much as possible.

#4 - Lastly, flip the couch on its side and use the material connectors to further tighten the cover's position. Make sure the connectors line up from across each other and connect them together as best possible.
